Please note:  applicants must be willing to work at any MBRC museum or art gallery, ie. Bribie Island, Caboolture, Pine Rivers and/or Redcliffe. This role is casual so shifts/ hours will vary, however we anticipate these roles will work approx 15 hours/week and mainly Monday to Friday.

Your responsibilities will include

Overseeing routine operations of the museum and gallery venue, including volunteer management, prioritisation of tasks, facility presentation and the delivery of public programs.  You will assist in the installation/demounting of exhibitions, planning of opening events/functions, retail operations, and provide positive visitor experiences through your knowledge of exhibitions, programs, collections, resources and procedures.

To be successful in this role you must possess

Experience in installations within a gallery or museum environment and exceptional interpersonal skills to provide quality customer service to venue patrons and effectively coordinate volunteers.  You will hold current Responsible Service of Alcohol certification or be willing to obtain prior to commencement, and be eligible for a Qld Working with Children Blue Card.

Work Location

Please note that whilst the current work location for this position is specified above, staff may be required to transfer to any of council's work locations with notice. Council currently has administration offices located at Caboolture, Strathpine and Redcliffe as well as depots, libraries and a range of other facilities located throughout the region.
