Join City of Moreton Bay as a graduate Engineer, and help shape and enhance our communities for today and tomorrow!
Our Project Development and Delivery team manage an annual budget of approximately $200m, delivering projects including parks, paths, roads, drains, public amenities and jetties, for our residents and communities to enjoy across the whole region.
As a graduate Engineer you will manage a workload of minor construction projects (up to $500K) including the administration, supervision and management of contracts through procurement, award, construction, defects liability and maintenance periods. You'll be guided by senior team members, and support them by:
- Performing routine technical planning and investigation of projects
- Providing routine technical engineering advice and ensure engineering works are undertaken safely and in accordance with Australian
- Resolving routine construction issues
- Assessing, recommending and rejecting progressive payment certificate claims made by contractors
- Engaging proactively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project deliverables and outcomes are achieved.

About you
We're looking for graduate Civil Engineers, looking to develop and grow their career, with some experience of construction project management and with an understanding of construction legislation, Australian standards, Workplace Health and Safety and Australian Standard contracts. Bring your:
- Experience providing technical engineering advice and the ability to present sound engineering solutions
- Demonstrated knowledge and applied understanding of engineering principles and practices
- Well-developed communication skills to communicate planning concepts and matters in a simple and concise manner (
- Degree qualification in Civil Engineering recognised by Engineers Australia (required)
- Current C class driver’s licence (required)
- Construction Induction Card competency (required, or willing to obtain).
