Join City of Moreton Bay as an Environmental Centre Officer, and help shape and enhance our communities for today and tomorrow.
In this role, you will be the first point of contact to our visitors, community groups and the general public, providing a high level of customer service as well as promoting environmental awareness and conservation. You will also:
- oversee the day-to-day operations of the centre.
- coordinating and delivering various activities including educational displays, tours, and workshops.
- provide guidance, support, and training to a team of volunteers, helping them contribute to the overall operations of the centre.
Caboolture Region Environmental Education Centre (CREEC) is located in Burpengary on a busy 18-hectare site which includes a café, playground, community nursery and remnant rainforest. We anticipate the roster for this role will include working Tuesday to Friday from 8:30am - 3:15pm. Click here to find out more about CREEC! About you
We are looking for a team member who is passionate about providing an exceptional service to customers! Your passion for providing exceptional experiences to customers will be highly valued in this role.
Bringing your experience in environmental management, you will contribute to the collaborative management of the site including the natural reserve areas. Your leadership skills will contribute to the various aspects of volunteer management, including recruitment, engagement, training, and coordination.
You will have well-developed organisational and time management skills to manage conflicting deadlines and priorities within the centre. You will be able to utilise well developed communication skills to develop and disseminate environmental messages to visitors of various ages and backgrounds.
The successful applicant will be available to work any 4 out of 7 days as part of their regular working hours and will hold (or be willing to obtain) a Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and First Aid certificate.
