  • Permanent Full Time | 9 day fortnight
  • $117,991 pa + 12% super (level 7)
  • 72.5 hour fortnight
  • Hybrid, flexible working environment, including some work from home days.
  • Location: Strathpine

Join City of Moreton Bay as a Principal Project Lead Transport Planning, and help shape and enhance our communities for today and tomorrow.

As our Principal Project Lead Transport Planning, you will Lead the delivery of transport planning projects including the council’s Accessible School Program (ASP) to drive integrated and sustainable outcomes. You will engage with a variety of stakeholders both internally and externally and have the skills to influence outcomes, negotiate and reach mutually beneficial solutions. 

You will have the opportunity to provide expert transport planning and road safety advice to key stakeholders, including the region’s schools, to support Council’s strategic outcomes of reducing reliance on the private car and encouraging modal change. 

You will prepare and present complex technical reports to schools and other key stakeholders on behavioural change initiatives and/ or re-configuration options for their internal infrastructure to improve safety and efficiency.

Being a principal role within the team you will have opportunity to guide, coach and mentor others as well as leading a small project team.

About you

We are seeking someone who is passionate about transport planning, is future focused and can influence and engage both their team and stakeholders. Your strength will be to negotiate and drive sustainable outcomes.

Bring your skills in regards to stakeholder engagement to help to identify State and Federal grant funding opportunities and facilitate applications for funding for priority projects. 

It is key you have comprehensive knowledge and experience in transport planning and design, modal change, travel behaviour change and accessibility projects. You will have knowledge of travel demand management principles, behaviour change programs and techniques.

We need an excellent communicator who can take this highly successful program to the next level and continue to provide excellent outcomes for our community. 

You will hold degree in civil engineering, transportation planning, urban planning or equivalent with previous experience or exposure to working with councils, schools and community consultation will be highly desired.
