In this role, you will lead the planning and implementation of City of Moreton Bay projects under the SEQ City Deal Public Art Initiatives.

The Public Art Initiatives is an allocated grant program, funded by the Australian Government, focused on delivering public art projects that activate places and improve the built environment. Eligible projects include new permanent public art installations (displayed publicly for a minimum period of 10 years) or infrastructure that supports the presentation or delivery of temporary public art (displayed publicly for a minimum period of 12 months).

City of Moreton Bay’s project for the Public Art Initiatives is to establish the Outdoor Gallery and to commission 18 artists to create original temporary public artworks for the inaugural 12-month exhibition. Comprised of billboards, light boxes, digital screens and projection, the City of Moreton Bay Outdoor Gallery will display 2D artworks at six high-profile outdoor spaces across the city. The initiative is a unique opportunity to commission artists in the creation of public art to enhance the quality of public spaces, contribute to a greater sense of community and increase access to cultural experiences throughout the City.

  • Build and foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Work as an integral part of the project team to ensure objectives are met
