Please note:

  • this position requires the successful applicant to be available to work any 5 out of 7 days as part of the ordinary hours including weekend work.
  • this position is casual so the hours/ days will vary.  Throughout the application process you will be asked to indicate what days/ hours you are available.  It is anticipated this role will work approx. 15 hours per week, and will include weekend work.

The role 

Your responsibilities will include assisting with the daily operations of the venue including opening and closing, reception, box office, ushering, set-up and pack down of equipment, replenishment of consumables and cleaning. You will assist with hospitality and catering services including the preparation and service of food and beverage, in compliance with food and liquor license obligations. 

Requirements

To be successful in this role you will ideally have experience working at sports, leisure or recreation facilities, with community sporting groups and sports programming. You will hold or be willing to obtain a RSA and have exceptional customer service skills to provide high quality food, beverage and events service.

Work Location

Please note that whilst the current work location for this position is specified above, staff may be required to transfer to any of council's work locations with notice. Council currently has administration offices located at Caboolture, Strathpine and Redcliffe as well as depots, libraries and a range of other facilities located throughout the region.
