Your responsibilities will include leading the ongoing evaluation and strategic development of responsive, accessible and engaging local history services, collections and programs. You will develop and deliver local history programs that showcase the regions heritage, promote the local history collection and engage the community.
To be successful in this role you must possess a tertiary qualification in library and information management, local history or other relevant field and have skills in developing and delivering strategies that enhance local history services, programs and collections. You will have demonstrated research skills in local history or similar and developed relationship skills with the ability to work in a team communicating and motivating effectively at all levels, contributing to a positive work culture with a strong focus on quality customer service.
This role with Council offers excellent working conditions, generous employer funded superannuation benefits (up to 12%) and a 9 day fortnight in addition to four weeks paid annual leave per year. Council’s work locations have local parking.
Please note that whilst the current work location for this position is specified above, staff may be required to transfer to any of council's work locations with notice. Council currently has libraries located at Albany Creek, Arana Hills, Bribie Island, Burpengary, Caboolture, Deception Bay, North Lakes, Redcliffe, Strathpine, Woodford and a range of other facilities located throughout the region.
