Our Senior Marketing Officer will support Head of Trade and Investment as a part of our newly formed team in the delivery of targeted marketing and communication advice to promote the Regional Economic Development Strategy (REDS) and the core objectives of industry advancement and investment attraction.
You will develop and implement exciting new marketing and communication strategies for industry advancement and investment attraction across a variety of local, regional and national marketing channels in support of the REDS. You will build and maintain strong professional relationships with local, regional and national industry marketing channels as well as Council colleagues, Councillors and other key stakeholders. You will also;
- undertake a range of assigned marketing and communications projects aligned to;
- priority industries
- region-shaping projects
- trade and investment objectives/promotions
- create/prepare on message material for presentations, events, media release and interviews
- coordinate video content and collateral to enhance the regions capabilities and reputation
You will have substantial experience developing and implementing marketing and communication strategies with excellent project management and organisation skills. You will have recognised tertiary qualification and/or demonstrable experience relevant to marketing and/or communications.
In addition you will bring:
- the ability to develop plans, coordinate actions, gain cooperation and deliver outcomes
- excellent communication & interpersonal skill with the ability to influence, engage and consult with a varied range of stake holders both internally and externally
- sound business acumen with the ability to prepare business communications - reports, presentations to suit audience and marketing planning documents.
This role with Council offers excellent working conditions, generous employer funded superannuation benefits (up to 12%) and a 9 day fortnight in addition to four weeks paid annual leave per year.
Council’s office locations have local parking on-site and are in close proximity to public transport networks.
Please note that whilst the current work location for this position is specified above, staff may be required to transfer to any of council's work locations with notice. Council currently has administration offices located at Caboolture, Strathpine and Redcliffe as well as depots, libraries and a range of other facilities located throughout the region.
