About our opportunity

Our team is currently reshaping the way we do procurement within the greater organisation, and this is a exciting key role in driving that change.

As the Procurement Training and Capability Specialist you will be focused on developing and delivering procurement training across all divisions of Council using innovative and best practice blended learning methodologies. Training program timing and focus will vary, and include induction training, annual recurrence training, specialised procurement training, changes in operational procedures or systems and the introduction of new learning for operational and commercial initiatives.

You will lead, initiate and manage quality assurance practices for all learning content and documentation, and liaise with software partners, stakeholders and sponsors to ensure the learning is actively supported by offering varied adult learning formats and training options for staff.

About you

We are seeking an engaging personality experienced in creating and delivering effective workforce training programs, ready for the next challenge!

You will bring your proven experience in developing quality fit for purpose content, procedure manuals, work instructions and tracking tools, paired with exceptional skills in presenting complex information in an adult learning environment. As a natural collaborator you will be driven by providing quality customer service and proactively working with stakeholders to build the MBRC brand and co-ordinate industry engagement activities.

In addition, you'll possess:

  • A level of technical understanding to ensure the integrity of learning programs through system design and clear writing of content, scripts, narratives, and storyboards;
  • Cert IV in Training and Assessment (or higher/ equivalent training qualification); and
  • Ideally be knowledgably in the procurement function within a large organisation.

Term: Permanent Full Time

Award/Level:  Qld Local Government Industry Award (Stream A) - Level 5 of the Moreton Bay Regional Council EBA4 Certified Agreement

Location: Strathpine

  • $84,340pa + super (up to 12%) + leave loading
  • 72.5 hour fortnight
  • 9 day fortnight
