Customer Response Department 

This role sits within our Customer Response Department which is made up of the Local Laws, Public Health and Customer Services streams. Customer Response provides front line service delivery and aims to provide a high standard of positive and proactive service experiences.

About our opportunity

This opportunity for a University Student sits within our dedicated Content Management Team!

This team creates and manages all online content referenced by a diverse range of customers and stakeholders including residents, ratepayers, visitors and businesses to source Council information and resources.

Across our website and intranet, we have content available for every service Council provides. From animal registrations, to community leasing, events, public health information and maintenance requests - we ensure everything is referenced and documented to offer the most effective and efficient services to our customers and stakeholders.

In addition to producing and maintaining our online content and resources, our Content Management team is responsible for identifying and actioning business requirement and improvement opportunities, as well as reviewing processes to optimise service delivery. The team advocates for quality and proactively engages with internal customers and stakeholders on a regular basis to achieve quality assurance, business process alignment and provide advice on analytical data.

The Content Management team has a critical function in streamlining our service delivery and ensuring our stakeholders and customers always have the most updated information and resources available to them.

About you

We’re looking for friendly, reliable and motivated individual who has a passion for all things content related and is keen to kickstart their career and get involved in projects that our team are currently working on.

You will be an avid learner with a passion in your field of study and will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with well-developed communication and literacy skills.

As a University Student, you will be a valued team member who provides general administrative and project support and assistance to the team. You could find yourself working in an organisation in which your initiative and willingness to have a go will see you gain valuable skills which will complement the theory you're learning at university.

You will work alongside experienced professionals and receive training from an industry leader in a fast-paced environment, whilst gaining experience in a practical position within your own community.

The position is flexible and may consist of part time or full-time work, dependent upon your study needs, with a minimum requirement of 3 full working days.

We are looking for students who are currently studying the following (or similar):

  • Bachelor of Arts - Professional writing and editing
  • Bachelor of Arts
  • Bachelor of Creative Industries - Creative and Professional Writing
  • Bachelor of Digital Marketing
  • Bachelor of Communication
  • Bachelor of Digital Media
  • Bachelor of Media and Communication

Please Note: 

  • Must be available to work 3-5 days per week (Monday to Friday) during university semesters 1 and 2 and full time outside of those semesters and during the university semester breaks.

Award/Level: Qld Local Government Industry Award (Stream A) - Level 1 of the Moreton Bay Regional Council EBA4 Certified Agreement
Remuneration: $30.98 / hour + super (up to 12%) + leave loading
