About our opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for an Exhibition Officer to join our Museums’ Exhibition and Collections Team!
Reporting directly to the Team Leader, Museum Exhibitions and Programs, you will lead the production and installation of temporary and continuing exhibitions…that create memorable visitor experiences.
Our team works hard to provide some great exhibitions for the community to enjoy. We currently have some exciting exhibitions on display including the current Pub Rock showcase that celebrates the people, places, scenes and sounds that defined Australia in the 1970’s and 80’s! As an integral member of our team, you will collaborate with internal team members and external stakeholders to produce high quality exhibitions and optimal service outcomes.
Council currently has museums located at Bribie Island, Redcliffe, and Whiteside.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have strong communication, organisation, problem-solving and administrative skills, to contribute to the delivery of high-quality visitor experiences!
With a keen interest in the museums sector, you will have experience and knowledge in the production and installation of innovative exhibitions, collections-related work and the ability to achieve within a fast-paced environment.
This position requires the successful applicant to be available to work any 5 out of 7 days as part of the ordinary hours
