The details: 

  • $106,974pa + 12% super (level 6)
  • 12 month maternity leave contract | Full Time| 9 day fortnight
  • This is a Parental Leave role, and it is anticipated appointment will be until November 2026
  • 72.5 hour fortnight
  • Hybrid, flexible working environment, including some work from home days.
  • Location: Based at Strathpine with local parking on site and a train station close by

Join City of Moreton Bay as a Senior Capability and Change Officer and help shape and enhance our communities for today and tomorrow.

We're looking for a Senior Capability & Change Officer to lead people-focused transformation across our digital and IT landscape. This hands-on, collaborative role is key to building capability, inspiring readiness, and driving meaningful change. You’re a people person through and through and over the next 12 months, you'll bring energy, empathy, and clarity to complex initiatives—empowering teams and making change feel achievable.

You will be responsible for:

  • Lead engaging workshops, stakeholder sessions, and coaching conversations that spark insight and action.
  • Co-creating capability uplift to design and deliver meaningful development programs that build confidence and change resilience
  • Championing learning and recognition: Establish and oversee a learning, reward, and recognition program.
  • assessing, developing, and managing change management capabilities & change readiness
  • Guiding accreditation pathways for IT: Implement and manage practical qualification and accreditation approaches that support growth and excellence.

What we’re looking for:

  • A flexible change toolkit and Prosci certification (or equivalent), with a proven track record of delivering transformational change.
  • A bubbly, collaborative spirit—confident, empathetic, and engaging across all levels of the business.
  • Experience in coordinating and sustaining strong stakeholder relationships, with a knack for identifying capability gaps and creating development opportunities.
  • Strong facilitation skills—you’re comfortable leading workshops, coaching individuals, and guiding teams through change.
  • Organised and adaptable, with excellent time management and the ability to juggle competing priorities.
  • A natural connector who thrives in positive team environments and can hit the ground running.
