  • Maximum Term Full Time (3 years) | 9 day fortnight 
  • Starting at $55,168 pa (includes industry and uniform allowances) + super 12% (level 5) - incremental increases will occur with time spent in the position or completion of agreed number of training competencies (whichever comes first) - Please note - junior rates apply for applicants under 21 years of age - remuneration starting from $50,229 + super
  • 76 hour fortnight
  • Location: Narangba

As an Apprentice Civil Construction Plant Operator, you will be engaged in a work based training program to undertake work activities associated with Civil Construction whilst undertaking a Certificate III in Civil Construction and Plant Operations. 

Your daily work activities will include working on site with the team to maintain our unsealed roads, road shoulders and regional drainage networks. This will include:

  • Operating various medium-sized plant equipment, where adequately trained and licenced to do so
  • Carrying out general labouring tasks as required
  • Conducting daily pre-start inspections on relevant plant and equipment
  • Reporting any defects, safety concerns or issues related to the machinery or ongoing projects
  • Assisting in other roads and drains maintenance activities as required

About you

To be successful in this position ideally you will have some exposure to civil construction, maintenance or plant operation activities and a passion to continue a career within this field. You must have solid aptitude and ability to enrol in and complete a Certificate III in Civil Construction and Plant Operations, eagerness to learn new skills and the ability to take direction and work with a range of people within a team environment. 

You must also hold a current C class drivers licence and either hold or be willing to obtain a Construction Induction Card prior to commencement if successful.
