  • $95,258 pa + 12% super (level 4)
  • 72.5 hour fortnight
  • Hybrid, flexible working environment, including some work from home days.
  • Location: Narangba

Join City of Moreton Bay as a Project Officer - Technical Operations, and help shape and enhance our communities for today and tomorrow.

The Technical Operations team manage the delivery of the daily operations of civil assets maintenance and renewal contracts, including the Road Resurfacing Program. As the Project Officer - Technical Operations you'll be the first point of contact for day to day issues and provide high level direction for the end to end management of road maintenance and resurfacing delivery.

You'll also carry out:

  • Inspections to ensure compliance to the contract specifications, legislation, quality and work health and safety
  • High level assessment and assist in the planning and preparation of operational maintenance programs
  • End to end resolution of delivery issues including works progress, contractual issues, site safety, environmental management
  • Regular performance management meetings with the contractors 
  • Advise on and assist with achieving outcomes on site specific technical issues and disputes 
  • Work with the team in developing council reports and information to stakeholders as required

About you

We're looking for your practical experience in road maintenance and construction techniques and applying investigative, analytical and research skills to manage projects in a technical work environment. 

You'll also bring:

  • Well-developed skills in monitoring contractors service delivery outputs and schedules
  • High level communication skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders
  • Well-developed skills in applying a range of risk and governance skills in the day to day delivery of contract administration
  • Certificate IV in Civil Construction, Project Management or relevant field required
  • Construction Induction Card competency required
  • Current C class driver’s licence required.
