Join City of Moreton Bay as a Civil Construction Superintendent, and help shape and enhance our communities for today and tomorrow.
Known in our organisation as Team Leader Construction, you will lead a team of four Supervisors and 20+ Construction Labourers to deliver civil infrastructure construction projects including road construction, footpaths, curb & channel, stormwater and coastal infrastructure. Projects vary in location, complexity, time and budget from around a few weeks up to 3 - 6 months, from $30,000 to approximately $2,000,000 to $3,000,000.
You'll be part of the Internal Construction leadership group, and the key point of contact between internal and external stakeholders, leading the team to deliver projects within cost, quality and safety requirements, and focussed on compliance, planning and programming of works and staff supervision of construction crews. You'll also:
- Identify, maintain and review systems and procedures, and performance measures to improve crew performance
- Project manage and contract manage projects, including variations, and ensure modern civil engineering practices and principles are applied
- Undertake regular site inspections to monitor project progress, ensure the compliance of works, manage non-conformances as per quality system, and provide specialist technical advice
- Build high level relationships across a range of diverse stakeholders.

About you
- Sound knowledge of financial practices within a legislative environment
- Strong experience in the utilization of Project Management software.
- Excellent communication skills to engage constructively with key stakeholders with varying degrees of technical knowledge
- Strong experience in actively contributing to the fostering a healthy, inclusive, capable and well connected workplace

Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Civil Construction Management or substantial relevant experience

Construction Induction Card competency that has been used or obtained within the past 2 years

Current C Class Driver’s Licence.
