    Qld Local Government Industry Award (Stream A) - Level 4 of EBA
  • 72.5 hour fortnight
  • Hybrid, flexible working environment, including some work from home days.
  • Location: Redcliffe

Join City of Moreton Bay as the Exhibition Officer in our Galleries team and help shape and enhance our communities for today and tomorrow.

As the Exhibition Officer you will be responsible for leading the design, production and installation of exhibitions across our three Galleries. 

In this role, you will also: 

  • Supervise staff during the installation of exhibitions.
  • Collaborate with the broader Galleries team, to ensure a smooth delivery of all exhibitions.
  • Create memorable experiences for all visitors by planning exhibitions that meet diverse artist and audience needs.
  • Create well-developed business processes to ensure all safety and risk management procedures are met.
  • Maintain professional relationships with all stakeholders involved.

Council currently has galleries located at Caboolture, Redcliffe and Strathpine. This position will be based at Redcliffe, however you will be required to travel and work from multiple locations as part of your role.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have strong time management and organisational skills enabling you to work on multiple exhibitions at once, each with different and sometimes competing priorities.

With an active and keen interest in the arts sector, you keep across current and emerging trends, software and technologies in exhibition planning, design and installation and apply these to achieve creative, accessible and innovative outcomes for audiences.

You will have excellent communication skills and enjoy working as part of a small team, along with demonstrated experience in leading the design, planning and implementation of exhibition installations from beginning to end. 

This position requires the successful applicant to be available to work any 5 out of 7 days as part of the ordinary hours. The roster will be Monday to Friday with an RDO every second week, the successful candidate may be required to work weekends based on operational requirements.
