  • Permanent Full Time | 9 day fortnight 
  • $69,344 pa (includes industry allowance and uniform allowance) + 12% super + leave loading
    Qld Local Government Industry Award (Stream B) - Level 5 of the EBA5
  • 9 day fortnight
  • 76 hour fortnight
  • Location: Narangba

Join our team as a Tractor Operator, where you will play a vital role in maintaining the natural beauty of our parks, reserves, sports fields and roadsides. In this position, you will operate tractors and other relevant equipment for a variety of tasks, specifically focusing on mowing and slashing operations across diverse outdoor settings.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • operating tractors and associated plant/equipment safely and effectively on designated sites
  • performing vegetation maintenance activities such as reduction, spraying and brush cutting
  • conducting routine and unscheduled inspections of open space assets to ensure safety and maintenance standards
  • maintaining equipment to ensure it remains fully operational for use
  • reporting on the conditions of parks, roadsides and bushland reserves

About you

Ideally you will have demonstrated experience in a similar role. With a solid understanding and practical expertise in various tractor operations, you'll also be capable of handling basic administrative tasks related to the position. Additionally, you'll be adaptable and willing to learn new technology solutions as needed. 

Safety is a key priority for us as an organisation, and we will be seeking candidates who not only have the knowledge and physical ability to safely undertake the manual tasks required in this role, we want you to have a genuine desire to contribute to a positive safety culture.

Paired with the above mentioned skills and experience, you will hold a current truck licence (MR - medium rigid class or above), a Construction Induction or willingness to obtain prior to commencement and a current ACDC Herbicide Application Certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months of commencement.
