    Qld Local Government Industry Award (Stream A) - Level 5 of EBA5
  • 72.5 hour fortnight
  • Hybrid, flexible working environment, including some work from home days.

As an Asset Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Engineering) you'll provide operational and technical support for planning, delivery and management of projects focused on lights and light pole installation and foundations, for a range of indoor and outdoor locations. You'll also be involved in:

  • Preparing of technical standards, technical reports, specifications, manuals and project development activities
  • Contributing to the management and delivery of Council’s defects management system and programmed maintenance
  • Providing technical advice to manage contracted services and project programs within specified standards
  • Supporting tender and project manage assigned capital and operational projects
  • Undertaking technical audits and investigations, and provide technical reports.

About you

We're looking for an Electrical Engineer with experience working with street lighting, sports lighting, external and internal lighting, light
pole installations and pole foundation requirements, and working with a customer focus. You'll also bring:

  • Ability to check lighting design drawings and related parameter, calculations
  • Ability to prepare and present clear, concise and accurate technical reports
  • Knowledge Australian Standards not limited to AS3000, AS3008, AS1158, AS2560, AS4828, AS1680 and BCA Standards
  • Understanding of Energex Lighting Standards and rate tariff systems
  • Experience preparing and intrepeting qualitative and quantitative data
  • Project Management experience
  • Degree qualification in electrical engineering recognised by Engineers Australia (required)
  • Construction Induction Card competency (required)
  • Current C class driver’s licence (required).
