  • $101,881 to 108,874 pa + 12% super
    Qld Local Government Industry Award (Stream A) - Level 6 of EBA5
  • 72.5 hour fortnight
  • Hybrid, flexible working environment, including some work from home days.
  • Location: Narangba

Join City of Moreton Bay as a Health and Wellbeing Partner, and help shape and enhance our communities for today and tomorrow.

As a Health and Wellbeing Partner you will drive the delivery of the Wellbeing and Safety strategy, and develop effective business partnerships with stakeholders across Council to understand their business requirements, identify trends and develop solutions and strategies to meet operational requirements. You'll be:

  • Proactively managing a portfolio of work and non-work-related injury and illness cases end to end
  • Reviewing and provide specialist advice and coaching to leaders across Council in relation to all Health and Wellbeing matters to respond to complex issues impacting recovery and return to work
  • Providing insights to the Wellbeing and Safety leadership team trends and areas for leadership development, to inform future initiatives and broader strategic opportunities.
  • Managing implementation of statutory health monitoring and/or surveillance program in partnership with the Safety Business Partnering Team/ Principal.

About you

We're looking for an experienced health and wellbeing professions, with comprehensive knowledge and experience applying relevant frameworks and legislation including the Workers’ Compensation and Rehabilitation Act 2003, and the Work Health and Safety Act 2011. You'll so bring:
  • Demonstrated problem solving and inquiry skills, including the ability to summarise complex issues in a concise and meaningful way
  • Demonstrated experience handling complex health and wellbeing matters, managing return to work processes end to end independently.
  • Local Goverment and self-insurance environment experience highly regarded
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Allied Health (eg. Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy),or significant relevant experience
  • Certified Return to Work Coordinator or relevant recency of practice qualifications.
