  • 72.5 hour fortnight
  • Hybrid, flexible working environment, including some work from home days

Are you an experienced professional with a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of insurance, grants, and subsidies? We’re looking for an Insurance and Grants Officer to provide expert advice and support, ensuring Council’s insurance requirements are met while monitoring and reporting on funding opportunities.

In this key role you will:

  • Coordinate the renewal and acquisition of insurance coverage to protect Council interests efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on insurance matters, ensuring compliance with legislation, standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Monitor insurance trends and provide valuable insights to enhance risk management awareness across Council.
  • Assist departments in preparing and submitting accurate grant and subsidy applications, including compliance with reporting and auditing requirements.

About you

To thrive in this role, you will bring:

  • Sound knowledge and experience in insurance advisory services aligned with relevant procedures and regulations.
  • A solid understanding of accounting principles, particularly in relation to grant acquittals and subsidy returns.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly adapt to Council’s corporate systems.
  • Exceptional time management skills with the ability to handle competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Outstanding relationship-building and communication skills, fostering collaboration at all levels.
