  • $86,815pa + 12% super + leave loading
    Qld Local Government Industry Award (Stream A) - Level 4 of EBA5
  • 9 day fortnight
  • 72.5 hour fortnight.
  • Location: Bribie Island, Redcliffe, Whiteside and Brendale

Join City of Moreton Bay as Exhibitions Officer with Museums and help shape and enhance our communities for today and tomorrow.

Reporting directly to the Team Leader, Museum Exhibitions, Collections and Programs, you will lead the production and installation of temporary and continuing exhibitions, that create memorable visitor experiences.

Our team works hard to provide some great exhibitions for the community to enjoy. Past feature exhibitions include Australia in Space: Earth and Beyond, a QUESTACON traveling exhibition from the National Science and Technology Centre and The Keeper, celebrating those who love to collect and showcasing their personal collections. As an integral member of our team, you will collaborate with internal team members and external stakeholders to produce high quality exhibitions and optimal service outcomes.   

Council currently has museums located at Bribie Island, Redcliffe and Whiteside.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have strong communication, organisation, problem-solving and administrative skills, to contribute to the delivery of high-quality visitor experiences!

With a keen interest in the museums sector and attention to detail, you will possess experience and knowledge in the production and installation of innovative exhibitions, collections-related work and the ability to achieve within a fast-paced environment.

This position will primarily work Monday to Friday although will require the successful applicant to be available to work any 5 out of 7 days as part of the ordinary hours, to assist with operational needs.
