  • Permanent Full Time | 9 day fortnight
  • $79,561 - $94,415pa + 12% super 
  • 72.5 hour fortnight
  • Hybrid, flexible working environment, including some work from home days.
  • Location: Strathpine

Join City of Moreton Bay as a graduate Engineer, and help shape and enhance our communities for today and tomorrow. Our Project Development and Delivery deliver a complex portfolio of multi-facet asset class projects including bridges, sporting facilities, intersections, public amenities and parks, worth approximately $200m each year.

As a graduate Engineer you'll be working with Project Managers and Senior Project Managers sharing their experience and guidance to develop your career in the Project Management field. You'll be:

  • Managing a workload of minor construction projects (up to $500K) including administration, procurement, award, construction, defects liability and maintenance periods
  • Undertaking routine technical planning and investigation of projects including alternate solutions, cost estimation and constructability considerations
  • Providing routine technical engineering advice considering construction legislation, Australian standards, Workplace Health and Safety requirements and accepted work practices
  • Assessing, recommending and rejecting progressive payment and variation certificate claims made by contractor

About you

Are you keen to work with industry professionals to start your career on the way to Project Engineer and Project Manager roles?

We're looking for a recent Civil Engineering graduate, with some experience working on infrastructure projects.  You can bring your knowledge and application of construction legislation, Australian standards and Workplace Health and Safety requirements, as well as:

  • Experience providing technical engineering advice and presenting engineering solutions
  • Applied understanding of engineering principles and practices
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities and meet deadlines
  • Well-developed communication skills with an ability to communicate planning concepts and matters in a simple and concise manner
  • Degree qualification in Civil Engineering recognised by Engineers Australia required
  • Current C class driver’s licence required
  • Construction Induction Card competency (or willing to obtain at own expense).
