Join City of Moreton Bay as a Senior Corporate Security Officer, and help shape and enhance our communities for today and tomorrow.

As the Senior Corporate Security Advisor you'll deliver and oversee the physical security policies and contemporary, well-informed best practice security risk management. You'll be improving corporate security policies, directives, work instructions and providing integrated protective security services, support, advice, and risk assessments to improve the security and safety of the Council’s assets and people. You'll also:

• Lead responses to physical security incidents and threats as well as significant events
• Formulate security strategies, policies and plans
• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and provide specialist advice on the security of council owned or managed assets in line with Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) principles
• Implement initiatives to reduce security risks to as low as reasonably practical
• Lead security evaluation and assessment teams
• Develop briefings for senior leadership on key security issues.

About you

We're looking for your experience coordinating and overseeing corporate security systems, processes and contract management, as well as strong project management experience. You'll also bring:

• Experience applying security frameworks to relevant Australian Standards, such as AS3745 (Planning for Emergencies in Facilities) / Attorney Generals Dept - Protective Security Policy Framework or comparable international standards
• Ability to synthesise facts, conduct detailed analysis, and interpret and evaluate relevant data
• Applied knowledge of sound financial practices within a legislative environment
• Strong knowledge of secure entry and key systems design and solution architecture
• Qld Security Technical (Advisor) required (or willing to obtain)
• Current C Class Drivers Licence required.
