The details:

  • Permanent Full Time | 9 day fortnight
  • $94,415pa + 12% super (level 5)
  • 72.5 hour fortnight
  • Hybrid, flexible working environment, including some work from home days.
  • Location: Strathpine

Our Corporate Communications team is on the search for a communications professional, experienced in delivering integrated communication plans and projects that align with strategic objectives and effectively deliver!  As part of our team you will:

  • Deliver consistent, high standard written communication, stakeholder engagement, collateral and reporting.
  • Plan and develop integrated communication opportunities and content.
  • Identify emerging or potential communications issues and contribute to the effective management of these issues.
  • Deliver integrated communication plans, media releases, talking points, web content, social media content, paid social campaigns, newsletters etc.
  • Review, edit and value-add to corporate documents to ensure a consistent standard across brand, tone and language.
  • Monitor media coverage and provide relevant communication support to manage crisis situations, measure effectiveness of campaigns and inform content.

About you

You will be an engaging writer and communicator, experienced in developing effective media and communication opportunities and content.

Hitting those tight deadlines will come second nature for you! As will your strong stakeholder engagement skills as this role liaises with such a varied audience, providing strategic public relations and marketing support to the Council business divisions, Mayor, Councillors to clearly and effectively communicate Council projects and priorities.

With a forensic eye for detail and experience and enthusiasm for turning complicated topics/research/analysis into more easily comprehended messages for target audiences, this role will be a great next challenge for you!
