The details:

  • From $83,541pa up to $103,338pa + 12% super (level 3 up to Level 5 graduate progression role)
  • RDO - 9 day fortnight
  • 2x Permanent Full-Time positions
  • Location: Caboolture

We are looking for passionate and capable Town Planners, whether you're a recent graduate ready to launch your career or a skilled professional seeking your next challenge to join our dynamic team.

As a Planner in our Development Services team, you’ll provide technical advice and assess low-complexity development applications. Your work will help ensure that land use and development align with community needs and planning legislation.

In addition, you will:

  • Assess low-complexity development applications in line with planning legislation and policy.
  • Provide technical advice on land use and development matters.
  • Conduct site inspections and investigations to support planning assessments.
  • Assist in negotiating infrastructure agreements and levying infrastructure charges.
  • Prepare reports and recommendations for senior review.
  • Engage with stakeholders to deliver high-quality service outcomes.
  • Contribute to a positive, customer-focused team culture.

We are looking for planning professionals who are passionate about shaping communities and delivering thoughtful, sustainable development outcomes. Whether you're building on existing experience or stepping into a new challenge, you bring a strong foundation in planning principles and a commitment to quality service.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Degree in Town Planning or equivalent experience in a Development Planning role
  • General understanding of planning legislation, urban design, and infrastructure planning
  • Research and analytical skills to assess development applications and prepare well-reasoned recommendations
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a team
  • A current C class Driver’s Licence
  • A valid Construction Induction Card (obtained within the last 2 years) or a commitment to obtain one prior to starting
