Join City of Moreton Bay as a Customer Service Officer, and help support, shape and enhance our communities for today and tomorrow.

As a Customer Service Officer, you will provide customers with positive service experiences through quality and efficient responses to their enquiries, issues, requests and applications via the Council's Call Centre, Customer Service Centres and electronic contacts.

Primarily based in Caboolture but rostered to work from our Customer Service Centres at Strathpine and Redcliffe as required to support service delivery.

  • Undertake the provision of accurate and appropriate responses to customer enquiries and issues.
  • Compile requests for action by Council departments, process applications and complete financial transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant Council and Customer Services policies, practices, procedures and service standards.
  • Provide input into the development of departmental procedures and processes, advocating for the customer and supporting continual improvement and efficiency.
  • Assist with developing the capability and capacity within the team and contribute to a positive working environment.

About you

We are looking to leverage your exceptional customer service, people and relationship skills and willingness to contribute to a positive work environment. Naturally, you will be a reliable, engaging and conscientious individual who can think on their feet, learn quickly and navigate multiple systems with ease.

You will thrive in a fast-paced and rewarding role which requires your high attention to detail, communication skills and a commitment to achieving personal and team goals.

You bring well-developed time management skills and the ability to work in a structured work environment while still adapting to change, managing conflicting priorities and deadlines with ease, while maintaining a strong focus on working as part of a team and the broader organisation.

You have experience working with complex information, solving problems and resolving conflict, and previous Contact Centre experience is desirable but not essential.

Please note that, due to the nature of the role, you may be required to work outside of the business hours listed above in order to support the community during significant events such as adverse weather, as needed.
