  • $79,563pa + 12% super (level 3)
    Great news - EBA6 currently is underway, with a proposed increase of 5% effective 1 July 2025
  • 72.5 hour fortnight
  • Hybrid, flexible working environment, including some work from home days.
  • Location: Caboolture Depot

Join City of Moreton Bay as a Claims and Investigations Officer, and help provide efficient and effective services for our diverse communities.

This newly created role will join our team and manage the end-to-end claims and assessment process for all minor Third Party Property and Personal Injury Claims, as well as Motor Vehicle Accident Claims across Council. You’ll be responsible for:

  • Liaising with Council’s insurance providers and key internal stakeholders to ensure claims are settled appropriately.
  • Undertaking investigations and compiling information to be provided to the insurer.
  • Managing Right to Information (RTI) responses for the department, in collaboration with our Legal Services team.
  • Overseeing Motor Vehicle Infringement Notices – contacting the responsible team member and liaising with TMR to assign appropriately.
  • Responding to customer requests requiring further action, including triaging and allocating to the relevant areas.
  • Managing repair requests through internal and external providers – investigating damage, identifying third parties and initiating financial recovery actions.

About you

We’re looking for someone with exceptional attention to detail and a solid understanding of claims management practices, ideally in Third Party Property and Personal Injury, and Motor Vehicle Accident Claims.

You’ll bring strong investigative and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to maintain confidentiality in sensitive matters.

As a natural communicator, you’ll be confident in building quality working relationships with a variety of stakeholders and negotiating outcomes within tight deadlines.
