As a our Principal Transport Engineer, you will have the opportunity to provide expert engineering input into the development of engineering designs and project coordination of transport infrastructure capital projects to meet the needs of the community within the City of Moreton Bay.
Bring your transport design expertise to shape smart and user-focused infrastructure. You will create concept designs, guide detailed briefs, drive delivery of road upgrades and ensure every project hits the mark—on time, on budget, and in line with strategy.
This is a senior role within the team where you will review and provide feedback on civil engineering design plans to ensure compliance with relevant standards and guidelines, whilst being context sensitive and fit for purpose, and providing value for money for the community.
You will an expert in your field and using these skills to certify engineering designs.

About you
We are seeking someone who can turn transport challenges into smart, user-focused design solutions. In this role, you'll bring technical expertise and strategic thinking to shape infrastructure that works for everyone.
You will;
- provide expert advice grounded in best-practice transport design, standards, and Council policies
- assist in the development of concept designs that respond to real user needs
- prepare and review detailed design briefs to guide internal and external teams
- work collaboratively across your team and coach and support other team mates
- be accountable for your work, time management and maintaining clear communication with all stakeholders involved in the process.
You will have a Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent, be a registered professional engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) or ability to obtain within first 12 months of employment and hold a Current “C” Class Driver’s Licence.
