Join City of Moreton Bay as a Health Program Officer, and help shape and enhance our communities for today and tomorrow.
As our Health Program Officer, you’ll play a key role in strengthening Council’s occupational health framework and ensuring our people are supported to thrive.
A key area of focus will be ensuring the scope and implementation of Council’s Health Surveillance and Fitness for Work programs are aligned to relevant codes of practice and best practice, as well as implemented effectively and efficiently.
Components of these programs include:
- Audiometric testing
- Respirable crystalline silica monitoring
- Pre/post-employment medicals
- Fatigue management
You will also be accountable for the review and optimisation of existing employee health programs such as Council’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP), with opportunity to introduce novel programs aligned to identified employee health and injury risks and Council’s Work Health & Safety strategy.
To achieve the above you will:
- Conduct research, analyse options and provide evidence‑based recommendations.
- Source and evaluate solutions to enhance Council’s occupational health offerings.
- Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to integrate programs across the organisation.
- Maintain high standards of stakeholder engagement and project management.
- Contribute to the development and review of relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and training resources
- Participate in psychosocial risk management activities

About you
We are seeking some with demonstrated expertise in developing, implementing and evaluating occupational health programs, along with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. You will be confident working strategically—whether through policy development, applied research or preparing project proposals.
You also have:
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and project management capability.
- The ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, and to positively influence at all levels.
- A degree in an Allied Health discipline (e.g. Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Nursing, Exercise Science).
Current “C” Class Driver’s Licence (required).
