  • $83,541pa + 12% super (level 3)
  • 72.5 hour fortnight
  • Hybrid, flexible working environment, including some work from home days.

Join City of Moreton Bay in our Economic Development team and provide quality to support to deliver projects focused on shaping and enhancing our communities for today and tomorrow.

As a Project Officer, we will look to you to provide administrative support to the Economic Intelligence and Trade & Investment teams across a range of areas including:

  • Support Economic and Business Initiatives: Assist with planning, delivery and evaluation of programs that promote industry development, business growth and regional economic advancement.
  • Research and Reporting: Conduct research and contribute to quarterly reporting on project outcomes, industry trends and business opportunities to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain effective relationships with internal teams, government agencies, industry bodies and community stakeholders to support collaborative outcomes.
  • Event and Program Coordination: Organise and support events such as workshops, briefings, and seminars, including logistics, marketing, communications and stakeholder liaison.
  • Administrative and Financial Support: Invoice processing, procurement support, data extraction and processing, CRM/database maintenance and credit card reconciliation.
  • Customer Service and Satisfaction Monitoring: Respond to customer enquiries, manage satisfaction testing processes, and ensure timely follow-up and resolution of issues using Technology One and other systems.
  • Process and Resource Improvement: Assist in reviewing and updating departmental processes, templates and resources to enhance efficiency, accuracy and service delivery.
  • Team Coordination and Confidential Support: Manage meeting bookings, agendas and minutes; collaborate across teams to deliver seamless support while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in sensitive matters.

About you

We’re looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented professional with strong administrative skills and proven experience supporting the planning, delivery, and evaluation of programs or projects.

You’ll be an exceptional communicator who can confidently engage and build collaborative relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders. Experience with financial processing and supporting data extraction, combined with a meticulous eye for detail, will set you apart.

In addition to quickly adapting to new technologies, you’ll bring expertise in preparing high-quality business documents, including reports, presentations, and project materials.

Our Economic Development team is agile, dynamic, and proud of its reputation for delivering results. This role spans two key functions, so we’re seeking someone who can manage competing priorities, communicate workload effectively, and step in to assist wherever needed.
