As a Senior Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring that development within the City of Moreton Bay meets community needs and complies with legislative and policy requirements. You will lead the assessment of moderately complex development applications, provide specialist engineering advice, and influence infrastructure outcomes that support sustainable growth.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide technical oversight and guidance to Engineers in the review and assessment of development applications
- Provide specialist advice on transport and stormwater infrastructure, as well as flood and storm tide inundation hazards.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Negotiate moderately complex infrastructure and commercial agreements
About you
We are seeking a Civil Engineer who has comprehensive knowledge and experience in the delivery of engineering assessment and compliance services. You will have the ability to influence and negotiate moderately complex infrastructure and other commercial agreements, whilst providing technical oversight and direction to other Engineers.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification, General Induction licence (White Card), and C Class Driver’s Licence
- Comprehensive knowledge in the principles and practices relating to the planning, design and construction of transport and stormwater infrastructure
- Understanding of State Planning Policy, the SEQ Regional Plan, the Planning scheme, and the Adopted Infrastructure Charge Resolution
- Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
