Join City of Moreton Bay as a Senior Environment Officer and play a key role in delivering exceptional environmental outcomes for our community, today and into the future.
In this role, you’ll provide specialist advice and lead the delivery of environment‑focused projects that protect and enhance the region’s natural assets.
You will also:
- Bring a good working knowledge of project management from idea to implementation and close out, along with familiarity in Council’s procurement systems and processes.
- Apply your expertise in ecology, waterways and catchment management as well as GIS and pollution management with the ability to identify, assess and implement environmental strategies to achieve positive outcomes for the region.
- Lead project-based community consultation, including representing Council at a range of customer meetings and business forums.
- Confidently identify environmental risks with the ability to provide timely reports and advice on project delivery to stakeholders.
- Have good working knowledge of contaminated land assessment and management with capability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team managing contaminated sites would be looked upon favourably.

About you
We are looking for effective communicators, with strong interpersonal and communications skills, enabling you to motivate and converse with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
You’ll bring project management experience and a solid understanding of Queensland environmental legislation, enabling you to successfully deliver diverse environmental projects that support great outcomes for Council and the community.
