Join City of Moreton Bay as a Team Leader Asset Management Engineering and help shape and enhance our communities for today and tomorrow.
Our Asset Management Team oversees the implementation, review and ongoing improvement of Council’s strategic asset management practices, supporting over 20 asset service groups across the City of Moreton Bay. These assets groups include roads, paths, buildings, public amenities, parks, drainage, street lighting and coastal infrastructure, all critical to supporting our growing community.
As the Team Leader Asset Management Engineering, you will play a key role in ensuring Council’s assets are managed in an integrated, efficient and effective way. You will lead a team of eight to provide expert technical asset management advice and drive the development, implementation and review of Council’s strategic asset management framework in line with ISO55000, as well as managing your own portfolio of assets.
You’ll also be responsible for:
- Providing technical leadership in the coordination and implementation of asset management practices and improvement activities
- Managing region‑wide contracts for detailed condition assessment and defect data capture, ensuring information is collected consistently and in line with technical specifications.
- Developing team capability and fostering a high‑performance, continuous‑improvement and customer‑focused culture
- Building strong, proactive relationships with stakeholders across Council to support asset planning, design, maintenance and other asset lifecycle outcomes
- Supporting a council‑wide culture that integrates asset management processes into everyday operations
About you
You’ll bring demonstrated expertise in Asset Management, including experience providing high‑level technical advice aligned to ISO55000 principles, practices and systems. As an experienced people leader, you understand how to guide a team toward high performance while supporting continual improvement.
You will also bring:
- Strong investigation, analytical and research skills, including experience using various software systems to manage asset and project programming data
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively
- Well‑developed relationship management skills to collaborate across teams and communicate with stakeholders at all levels
- A degree in Engineering recognised by Engineers Australia (required)
- A current C‑class driver’s licence (required)
