  • Full Time Contract | 4 years 
  • TRP $198,699 pa (inclusive of 12% super and leave loading)
  • 76 hour fortnight
  • Hybrid, flexible working environment, including some work from home days.
  • Location: Strathpine

Join City of Moreton Bay as our Coordinator Transport Engineering , and help shape and enhance our communities for today and tomorrow.

As the Coordinator Transport Engineering lead and manage Council’s transport, civil, structural and electrical engineering teams which are responsible for the engineering design of the region’s transport infrastructure capital projects and civil engineering support into other parts of Council.

This role leads a high‑performing transport engineering team, embedding practical innovation, continuous improvement, and customer focus to deliver fit‑for‑purpose infrastructure outcomes.
 
It builds capability through consistent practices, quality assurance, workflow coordination, RPEQ oversight, and certification across internal and externally delivered design programs.
 
The position partners with Councillors, communities, agencies, and stakeholders to integrate transport solutions, negotiate outcomes, and enable successful capital delivery.

About you

We are seeking a strong leader capable of providing both technical direction and genuine people leadership. You will lead a specialist transport engineering team, driving excellence, accountability, and capability growth while delivering resilient infrastructure programs that meet legislative, professional, and community expectations.
 
This position is responsible for:
  • the delivery of capital programs through strategic planning, resource coordination, consultant oversight, and risk-informed decision-making
  • engaging with stakeholders using clear communication, influence, and negotiation aligned with local government frameworks and sustainable outcomes
  • directing specialist professionals to, cultivating capability, performance, collaboration, and technical excellence across complex transport initiatives
  • governing design development, assurance, optimisation, and approvals ensuring compliance, quality, value, and RPEQ obligations

You will have a degree in Civil Engineering and hold your RPEQ as well as a c class drivers licence.
