City of Moreton Bay is excited to launch recruitment for multiple Divisional Officer and policy positions. These newly created roles have been established to strengthen support for our Mayor and Councillors and help them deliver meaningful outcomes for the communities they represent.
In these roles you will work closely with your assigned elected representative, providing strategic and operational support that helps shape and enhance our communities, both now and into the future.
Whilst the role may vary depending on the approach, it could see you focused on:
- Build and maintain strong connections with community stakeholders
- Monitor local issues, emerging trends and community priorities
- Coordinate communications and social media activities
- Prepare briefings, correspondence, reports and information materials
- Undertake research, policy analysis and strategic advice
- Support informed decision-making and effective community representation

About You
We welcome applications from candidates with diverse professional backgrounds. Whether your experience is in communications, community engagement, social media, multimedia, policy development, research, stakeholder relations, or another related discipline, we'd love to hear from you.
You will bring:
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to quickly establish credibility and rapport with a broad range of stakeholders
- Strong written communication skills, with experience preparing high-quality briefings, reports, correspondence, presentations and digital content
- Well-developed research, analytical and critical thinking capabilities, with the ability to assess complex issues, identify emerging trends and provide evidence-based recommendations
- Initiative, adaptability and a commitment to delivering high-quality support in a dynamic environment
