The Details:

  • Full Time Contract
  • TRP $207,505 pa (inclusive of 12% super and leave loading)
  • 76 hour fortnight
  • Hybrid, flexible working environment, including some work from home days.
  • Location: Strathpine
 
Join the City of Moreton Bay and help shape the future of critical drainage, stormwater, floodplain and coastal infrastructure planning. This is a great new leadership role. 

As the Coordinator - Stormwater & Coastal Planning, you'll lead the day-to-day coordination of a specialist planning team responsible for delivering high-quality planning, prioritisation and investment advice across drainage, water quality, floodplain and coastal infrastructure. You'll play a key role in supporting sustainable development, risk management, resilience planning and informed infrastructure investment decisions.

You will have the opportunity to; 
  • develop quality assure strategies, studies, needs assessments, prioritisation frameworks and business cases across stormwater (quality and quantity), floodplain and coastal assets. 
  • prepare reports, dashboards and planning insights to support governance and investment decisions
  • resolve routine operational issues and escalate complex or high risk matters with clear analysis and recommendations.

About you

We are seeking some with experience coordinating infrastructure planning teams or programs within drainage, water quality, flood mitigation or coastal environments, together with a strong understanding of asset lifecycle planning and risk-based prioritisation.

You will lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of planners, engineers and technical specialists to deliver integrated drainage, floodplain and coastal planning outcomes.

You will bring; 

  • strong understanding of asset lifecycle planning, risk based prioritisation and investment governance
  • the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high quality outputs under time constraints
  • demonstrated experience in integration of infrastructure outcomes and land use

You will have a tertiary qualifications in civil or environmental engineering, planning, water resources, coastal management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
