  • $94,194pa + super (up to 12%) + leave loading
  • 72.5 hour fortnight
  • 9 day fortnight
  • Flexible, hybrid WFH/Office work environment

Our customer focused and progressive ICT Team are looking for a Senior Systems Developer to join our team and contribute to our ongoing delivery and success. As our Senior Systems Developer, you will provide specialist systems development advice and contribute to the ongoing integration of Council’s Corporate ICT, Cloud and Operational Technology systems and data through the development of APIs, Cloud and on-prem solutions.

There is lots happening within Moreton Bay Regional Council and we are excited to be leading an innovative approach - as our Senior Systems Developer, you will have ample opportunity to lean into the many exciting projects at hand. Additionally you will:

  • Design program architecture for intended solution and ensure alignment with Council’s existing solutions and architecture.
  • Develop code to ensure agreed development and project outcomes are achieved whilst ensuring all agreed practices adopted by Council for code and code management are adhered to.
  • Work collaboratively within the ICT team and across council stakeholders to ensure the best practice solution and service outcomes are achieved.

About you

We are seeking a talented collaborator and strong communicator to join the ICT team. You’ll leverage off your experience in this space to hit the ground running. Ideally you’ll be well versed in C# (.Net), Javascript, React and other programming languages and experience working with AWS or Azure with other Cloud platforms an advantage. We are a very productive team with lots happening - you’ll need to harness your excellent organisational and time management skills to manage conflicting priorities to meet our deadlines.

Our organisation is diverse as is our team, so you’ll need to be a strong communicator, great at building relationships and the ability to provide outstanding customer service. You’ll also require:

  • High level knowledge and experience working with DevOps practices and frameworks including the analysis, design and architecture of technology solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience writing and working with APIs and web services; previous experience working with IoT networks and devices, edge processing, real-time analytics and machine learning would be an advantage.
  • The ability to identify and implement process improvements to the way we work.
