About our opportunity

We have THREE exciting opportunities for Branch Team Leader’s to join our dedicated teams at Redcliffe, North Lakes and Caboolture.

In these roles, you will oversee a team of library staff in their daily operations as well as manage the library’s collection to meet the needs of the local community.

You will use a range of workforce management initiatives to lead and support your team, whilst providing expert advice and support to the senior leaders and staff. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders and regional partners to build relationships and ensure the library’s services are meeting the needs of the community.

Additionally, you would be responsible for maintaining the library’s facility and venue, contributing to the review of library processes and services and preparing business plans and reports on service outcomes.

These three libraries are open 7 days/week, closed on public holidays. We operate with a 4 week rotating roster, and the successful applicant will need to be available to work 5 out of 7 days as part of the ordinary hours. Shift times will be between 8:00am to 6:15pm, we anticipate the roster for this role will include working 1 weekend (Sat & Sun) every 4 weeks, and may include late closing one evening a week at 8:15pm.

About you

We are looking for a leader who is experienced, passionate and knowledgeable in the delivery of public library services!

You will have the ability to build strong relationships with your team and local community stakeholders to achieve positive customer service experiences. 

You will bring your expertise in reviewing, developing and implementing processes to drive continual improvement within the library. As well as your understanding of the presentation and maintenance standards required within the public library setting.

You will hold a valid Qld Working with Children blue card or be eligible and willing to obtain prior to commencement.
