  • Permanent Full Time
  • From $76,872 up to $95,089 pa + super (up to 12%) + leave loading + 9 day fortnight
    Qld Local Government Industry Award (Stream A,) - Level 3 to Level 5 of the EBA5 Certified Agreement 
    The appointed wage level will be dependent upon the successful candidates level of experience, skills and qualifications. 
  • 72.5 hour fortnight
  • Hybrid, flexible working environment, including some work from home days.
  • LocationOur Strathpine office has free local parking on-site and is in close proximity to public transport networks.

About the Opportunity:

As our Civil Engineer - Stormwater, you will be a part of a highly skilled team with the opportunity to be mentored by leaders in their field as well as bringing your own knoweldge and experience to the role. 

You will have the opportunity to:

  • undertake planning of stormwater infrastructure, including urban and rural, open and reticulated drainage systems, Water Sensitive Urban Design, riparian and waterway restoration, stormwater network design and problem solving to resolve service conflicts
  • investigate stormwater problems, assist with specialist investigations including floodplain and stormwater modelling, and contribute to the preparation of detailed options analysis and provide recommendations to management
  • contribute to a positive team culture and engage proactively with key stakeholders providing advice and responding to customer/client enquiries relating to the floodplain management and flood warning services provided to the community. 

About you: 

We are seeking new team members who are passionate in regards to storm water engineering.

Ideally with experience undertaking technical investigations relating to storm water and the ability to apply critical thinking as well as experience in preparing preliminary engineering designs and cost estimates for storm water infrastructure projects.

We work with a diverse range of stake holders so your communications skills are key; coupled with the ability to engage confidently with your peers, other departments and external groups. 

You will hold a degree in Civil or Environmental engineering or equivalent.
