The details:

  • Permanent Full Time
  • $67,642, pa (includes industry allowance and uniform allowance) + 12% super + leave loading
    Qld Local Government Industry Award (Stream B) - Level 3 of the EBA5
  • 9 day fortnight
  • 76 hour fortnight
  • Depot Locations (you can select your location preference/s in the application form) - Arana Hills, Bribie Island, Burpengary, Caboolture, Dayboro, Margate, Narangba, Petrie & Woodford. Please note - the Burpengary and Petrie depot locations will be moving into the Narangba depot in the coming months. 

Join our Roads and Drains team as a Labourer and play a vital role in maintaining our community's civil and transport infrastructure. Working closely with a crew leader, you'll be at the forefront of operational maintenance of Council valuable assets. The core of your role will be ensuring your designated area remains safe, tidy and defect free - some of the responsibilities will include:

  • installing and replacing road signs
  • pathways, kerb and channel defect repairs 
  • replacing manholes 
  • fence repairs 
  • lintel and grate replacement 
  • repairing headwalls 
  • clearing open drains
  • fixing traffic island defects 

Your work will directly contribute to the upkeep of our civil and transport infrastructure, making a tangible difference in our community's safety and appearance. Paired with the above mentioned skills and experience, we'll need you to hold a current truck licence (minimum MR - medium rigid) and a Construction Induction Card.
