We have a large internal construction team and we are often on the search for labourers to work on a suite of Civil Construction and Maintenance projects across our City, so are calling for expressions of interest to be considered for current and future opportunities.
This expression of interest allows us to continuously accept applications for Construction Labourer positions. Your application will be assessed as soon as a vacancy arises
- Permanent Full Time | 9 day fortnight
- $67,642 pa (includes industry allowance and uniform allowance) + 12% super + leave loading
Qld Local Government Industry Award (Stream B) - Level 3 of the EBA5
- 76 hour fortnight
- Work Location: Site based. Please note, travel allowance is applicable for distances travelled further than your allocated home depot location
- Allocated Home Depot Locations (dependent on available position): Caboolture, Burpengary and Petrie - both the Petrie and Burpengary depots will be moving to a Narangba location later in the coming months.

In this position, you'll engage in a variety of civil duties across essential construction and maintenance initiatives, including stormwater drainage, road rehabilitation and landslip remediation.
Your responsibilities will encompass general labouring tasks, safely operating and maintaining equipment and fostering working relationships with your fellow team members and the public to effectively complete the work.

About you
Ideally you will have demonstrated experience in a range of civil construction activities with a focus on general labouring tasks. We'll also need you to bring your strong communication skills to engage positively with diverse individuals, along with the ability to learn and adapt to changes in the workplace, such as working at different sites or embracing new technologies relevant to the role.
Safety is a key priority for us as an organisation, and we will be seeking candidates who not only have the knowledge and physical ability to safely undertake the manual tasks required in this role, we want you to have a genuine desire to contribute to a positive safety culture.
Paired with the above-mentioned skills and experience, you will also hold a Construction Induction card and a current drivers licence (minimum MR class), however we encourage applications people only holding car licences, with possibility to be reviewed in the future.
