The details:

  • Permanent Full Time | 9 day fortnight 
  • $86,815 to $94,415 + 12% super +  leave loading (Level 4 to 5)
    The appointed wage level will be dependent upon the successful candidate's level of experience, skills and qualifications. 
  • 72.5 hour fortnight
  • Hybrid, flexible working environment, including some work from home days.
  • Location: Strathpine

About the role 

Join City of Moreton Bay as a Technical Officer Project Delivery and help shape and enhance our communities for today and tomorrow.

As a Technical Officer Project Delivery you'll be overseeing routine contract construction projects, and coordinating and supervising the construction process (including contractors) in accordance with relevant construction and workplace health and safety legislation, standards. You'll also:

  • Review and audit engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Administer both Major and Minor Works contracts as Superintendents Representative, and monitor contractor performance 
  • Resolve technical issues as they arise and consult with management regarding possible variations 
  • Undertake engineering investigations and prepare technical reports
  • Set priorities, monitor workflows and prepare project reports, and provide regular technical advice to key stakeholders 
  • Contribute to a positive team environment by providing support and guidance.

About you

We're looking for your experience in construction project management, highly developed knowledge and applied understanding of quotation documents, design drawings, specifications, schedules, and application of relevant consturction, WH&S standards and regulations.

You'll also bring:

  • Experience providing technical advice on construction process related matters
  • Strong time management skills to manage conflicting priorities and meet deadlines
  • Relationship management skills to build and maintain effective relationships with contractors, clients and stakeholders at all levels
  • Current C class driver’s licence (required)
  • Construction Induction Card competency (required).
