The details:

In this role, you'll primarily operate a roller, along with other medium sized machinary, rotating as needed. You'll have the opportunity to alternate between operating a roller, water truck, backhoe or grader, providing you have the necessary training and licences. Your main responsibilities will include roads and drainage maintenance tasks alongside our gravel roads maintenance team. 

Key duties include:

• Operating various medium sized plant equipment, focusing on roller operations
• Switching between different plant (roller, backhoe, grader or the water truck) as required/licenced
• Conducting daily pre-start inspections on relevant plant and equipment
• Reporting any defects, safety concerns or issues related to the machinary or ongoing projects
• Assisting in road and drainage maintenance activities

About you

Ideally you'll have recent, relevant experience in a similar position operating comparable machinary in similar settings. Your application will demonstrate previous experience operating a range of medium plant equipment used in civil construction and maintenance activities, with a particular emphasis on roller operation. We'll need you to bring your excellent communication skills, your experience undertaking manual operational tasks in a safety conscious environment and have the ability to work as part of a team.

Paired with the above mentioned skills and experience, you will also hold a current truck licence (minimum class - HR - heavy rigid), a Construction Induction Card and Certification in the operation of Roller (LR) and at least one other of the below:

• Backhoe (LB) - highly desirable
• Grader (LG) - highly desirable
• Excavator (LE) 
• Skid Steer (LS)
• Front End Loader (LL)
