  • $73,057pa + 12% super (level 2)
  • 72.5 hour fortnight
  • Hybrid, flexible working environment, including some work from home days
  • Location: Strathpine

Join City of Moreton Bay as an Accounts Payable Officer and help shape and enhance our communities for today and tomorrow.

As an Accounts Payable Officer, you will be a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, providing guidance on the various accounts payable functions. You will process payments to suppliers, assist with monthly reconciliations, generate routine reports, and respond to general enquiries and correspondence that the team receives. 

It is an integral role in processing, verifying, and reconciling the high volume of invoices, approximately 200 invoices a day that requires accuracy and efficiency to ensure processing in a timely matter. You will assist with compliance reporting, processing new purchase card applications, management of credit limits and other administrative tasks.

About you

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable professional who has had prior experience in a large organisation with high volume of accurate invoice processing.

With your exceptional interpersonal skills, you will be able to quickly develop quality working relationships with a large range of stakeholders and be a positive friendly team member.

In addition, you'll:

  • have exceptional time management skills to effectively manage conflicting priorities and meet deadlines.
  • an understanding of the applicable legislation and industry standards as it relates to accounts payable and purchase card management.
  • good attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and efficiency in all tasks.
  • be proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of programs and the ability to develop proficiency with council’s software programs such as TechnologyOne; and
  • have a customer service focus.
