The details:

Support our Roads and Drains regional services team by operating Council vehicles to transport materials and plant equipment across the City of Moreton Bay. This position plays a key role in ensuring the timely and safe delivery of essential resources to our Roads and Drains work crews.

• operate tipper trucks with trailer attachments and other equipment in line with your licence and training
• conduct daily vehicle inspections and maintain the vehicle's condition
• transport and assist with loading/unloading materials and equipment at designated sites
• occcasionally assist with general labouring duties when not operating a vehicle

You’ll work closely with operational crews, perform pre start checks and follow safety procedures to support efficient and safe service delivery. A commitment to high safety standards and collaboration is essential.

Additional responsibilities include:

• keeping vehicles clean and in good working order
• promptly reporting defects or maintenance needs
• adhering to all relevant Council processes and procedures

About you

We're seeking someone with: 

• demonstrated truck driving experience, including operating tipper trucks and transporting plant/equipment
• a safe driving history and a willingness to learn new technology and software
• confidence with manual tasks and a collaborative approach to teamwor 
• a genuine commitment to maintaining a safe work environment

Mandatory requirements:

• current HC (Heavy Combination) truck licence
• a Construction Induction card - or willingness to obtain prior to commencement
