- Permanent Full Time | 9 day fortnight
- $69,344 pa (includes industry allowance and uniform allowance) + 12% super (level 5)
- 76 hour fortnight
- Location: Burpengary - please note, this position will be moving to a Narangba location in the coming months.

As a Multi-Skilled Plant Operator, you'll play a crucial role within our regional drainage team. Your primary responsibilities will include the daily operation of medium-sized plant items, primarily focusing on critical drainage maintenance tasks such as clearing drains and culverts and conducting essential drainage remediation.
This will include:
- Operating various medium-sized plant equipment, with a focus on an 8-tonne excavator
- Switching between different plant machinery, primarily the skid steer and excavator
- Operating equipment with specialized attachments, such as flail mowers
- Conducting daily pre-start inspections on relevant plant and equipment
- Reporting any defects, safety concerns, or issues related to the machinery or ongoing projects
- Assisting in other roads and drains maintenance activities as required
This position requires a flexible approach to machine operation and a strong commitment to safety and maintenance protocols.

About you
Ideally, you will have demonstrated relevant drainage experience and experience operating excavators and skid steers in similar maintenance environments. Your background should reflect proficiency in handling a variety of medium-sized plant items typically used in civil construction and maintenance projects, with an emphasis on operating excavators of comparable size and managing skid steers effectively.
To complement your practical experience, you must also possess:
- A current truck licence (minimum Heavy Rigid - HR class)
- A Construction Induction card
- Certification to operate both an Excavator (LE) and a Skid Steer (LS)
This combination of practical experience and formal qualifications will ensure you're well-equipped to excel in this dynamic role, contributing to the efficiency of our drainage maintenance operations.
