  • $86,815 pa + 12% super (level 4)
  • 72.5 hour fortnight
  • Hybrid, flexible working environment, including some work from home days.

Join City of Moreton Bay as a Directorate Business Support Officer, and help shape and enhance our communities for today and tomorrow.

As our Directorate Business Support Officer, you will have the opportunity to provide high level administrative and professional support to the Infrastructure Planning Directorate and Directorate Senior Leadership Team (SLT).

This role will report through to our Senior Executive Support Officer and forms a crucial role within a close-knit  team.

In this role your will; 

  • Oversee and coordinate the Directorate budget and operational planning processes including monitoring, review and financial reporting in line with Council policies and procedures.
  • Provide high level administrative and business support to the Infrastructure Planning Directorate on budget, operational planning and ensure appropriate escalation of emerging issues requiring attention.
  • Proactively identify service improvement opportunities and develop and review budget, operational planning and related administrative processes and systems.
  • Provide administrative support to the Infrastructure Planning Directorate, including undertaking moderately complex projects and drafting routine correspondence, reports and other relevant documents.

About you

We are seeking someone who is dynamic, proactive and self-motivated in nature and understand the need to remain adaptable and flexible. We want someone who is confident to apply their critical thinking, reasoning, evaluation and decision-making skills and work to support the Infrastructure Planning team. 

You will have; 

  • advanced level and understanding of Microsoft Office suite of programs, particularly within Microsoft Word and Excel to draft correspondence and maintain data
  • a high level of experience in administrative activities incorporating budget and quarterly processes, governance, correspondence formats and styles
  • excellent time management, work prioritisation and organisational skills, with proven ability to work with limited supervision
  • the ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism, particularly when dealing with issues of a highly political and sensitive nature.
