Our Project Development and Delivery team deliver $130m+ of capital infrastructure each year, and have a pipeline of major roads and bridge projects over the next 5+ years including Youngs Crossing Road upgrade and bridge, Buchannan Road upgrade and Old Gympie Road duplication.
As a Program Manager, known in our organisation as Coordinator Program Management and Delivery, you'll be leading a team of 10 - 15 project specialist through project development, design (internal and external consultants) and construction (external contractors) for a variety of assets including roads, drains, bridges, buildings, public amenities, waste facilities, parks etc. in the role of Contract Superintendent.
You'll also:
- Oversee the delivery of multiple capital and operational programs/projects from preconstruction, through procurement and construction, to final handover
- Lead the team to deliver the key initiatives of the annual operational plan through positive leadership, resource co-ordination and supporting professional development
- Provide strategic and operational advice to Council and key stakeholders to resolve of highly complex issues
- Prepare performance, progress and procurement reports and documents
- Drive continuous improvement of systems, processes, and resources
- Build high level relationships across a range of diverse council, contractor and community stakeholders.

About you
We're looking for an experienced people leader and civil construction program manager, accomplished in delivering significant infrastructure projects, and driving high performance outcomes in a large and complex organisation. You'll also bring:
- Demonstrated ability building relationships and providing high level strategic and operational advice to key stakeholders
- High level presentation and communication skills
- Analytical and outcome focus to manage competing demands in a complex environment
- Ability to keep abreast of political, economic and industry trends and developments which may impact or create new opportunities for Council
- Degree in Engineering, Construction, Project Management, or a related discipline is required
- Current C Class driver’s licence is required
- Valid Construction Induction Card, or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
