  • $101,881pa + 12% super (level 6)
    Great news - EBA6 currently is underway, with a proposed increase of 5% effective 1 July 2025
  • 76 hour fortnight
  • Location: Narangba Depot

As a Senior Technical Officer in our Construction team, you’ll play a key role in delivering a suite of civil projects by providing essential pre-construction services. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Evaluating and coordinating applications for service relocations and permits to work
  • Reviewing designs, cost estimates, and constructability considerations
  • Investigating practical alternative solutions when required
  • Coordinating contractors and overseeing the timely, high-quality completion of works
  • Identifying future material requirements and sourcing reused/recycled products to ensure optimal environmental and financial outcomes for each project

About you

We’re seeking someone with a strong understanding of best practices in delivering civil infrastructure construction projects—and who’s excited by the opportunity to do this in a local government setting, making a real impact in our community.

You’ll bring your knowledge of construction materials, specifications, standards, and relevant legislation essential to achieving successful project outcomes, along with a positive, team-oriented approach.

We’re also looking for:

  • Systems: Confidence in using industry-specific estimating and project management software
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong communicator with the ability to translate technical requirements for a range of stakeholders
  • Time Management: Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage conflicting priorities
  • Qualifications: Current driver’s licence and Construction Induction Card
