As the Rates and Property Lead, you will be a pivotal member of our team, bringing deep expertise and leadership to our rating and property functions. You’ll mentor team members, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and ensure the delivery of accurate, timely, and equitable services.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support the team with expert knowledge and guidance.
• Administer Council’s rating policy fairly and equitably.
• Maintain the rating and property database with precision and timeliness.
• Test and validate new system releases prior to implementation.
• Generate and issue periodic rate notices.
• Prepare complex reports and reconciliations.
• Provide sound advice and support to internal and external stakeholders.

About You

You’re a people focused leader with a passion for mentoring and driving positive change. Your attention to detail and strong organisational skills ensure high quality service delivery. You bring:

• Proven experience in rating and property services.
• Strong understanding of relevant Acts and legislation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn Council systems (TechnologyOne).
• A collaborative and proactive approach to leadership.
