As the Rates and Property Lead, you will be a pivotal member of our team, bringing deep expertise and leadership to our rating and property functions. You’ll mentor team members, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and ensure the delivery of accurate, timely, and equitable services.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the team with expert knowledge and guidance.
- Administer Council’s rating policy fairly and equitably.
- Maintain the rating and property database with precision and timeliness.
- Test and validate new system releases prior to implementation.
- Generate and issue periodic rate notices.
- Prepare complex reports and reconciliations.
- Provide sound advice and support to internal and external stakeholders.
About You
You’re a people focused leader with a passion for mentoring and driving positive change. Your attention to detail and strong organisational skills ensure high quality service delivery. You bring:
- Proven experience in rating and property services.
- Strong understanding of relevant Acts and legislation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn Council systems (TechnologyOne).
- A collaborative and proactive approach to leadership.
